Maintenance Prohibitions
Welding repairs for cracks are prohibited.
Welding cracked construction vehicle rims alters the material structure, reducing strength and increasing susceptibility to fracture under stress. New rims must be replaced.
Mixed use of non-standard parts is prohibited.
Retaining rings, lock rings, and bolts must match the original equipment specifications of the wheel rim (e.g., 5-piece rims must not use 4-piece retaining rings). Mismatched clearances between different specification components can cause seal failure or tire detachment.
Do not over-tighten bolts beyond specified torque.
Tighten bolts to the torque specified in the vehicle manual. Exceeding torque limits causes bolt elongation and deformation, increasing the risk of fracture during subsequent use. Insufficient torque causes bolt loosening, leading to rim vibration and wear.
Do not strike rims with hard objects
When removing retaining rings or clearing debris, never strike the rim sealing surface or retaining ring directly with a sledgehammer. Use a plastic hammer or specialized tools to avoid damaging the sealing structure.
